I used the store bought funfetti cake mix. The pan is big enough for the entire mix and cooks very evenly (about 35min)-always a concern because not all pans do this. I used regular white frosting across the cake and black and yellow icing-for-writing from the grocery store for the nose, eyes, whiskers and bow outline. I used red sugar crystals for the bow-very cute!!! It took me all of about 10-15 minutes to decorate the cake!!! The Wilton star-dotting instructions just seemed tedious and I honestly think the cake looks cuter the way I did it and without spending a lot of time and hand cramping!
